Methyl Chloride Supply from China: Liquefied Gas Specification and Documents
This is the supply page for methyl chloride (chloromethane, CAS 74-87-3, UN 1063, class 2.1), the liquefied gas used as a methylating agent and as the feedstock for methylchlorosilanes in the silicone chain. Minimum order, container load, loading port, lead time and packing are confirmed in the quotation and are not published here.
We are a trading company: the product is produced by a licensed Chinese producer and supplied under our own documentation. Group member Quzhou Huafu handles warehousing and cylinder filling for the cylinder grades in our range (R22, R134a, R410A); methyl chloride volumes follow the packing form stated in the quotation.

Methyl chloride is carried as a liquefied gas under its own vapour pressure, so the packing form decides both the quantity per consignment and the equipment that can handle it. Send the quantity, destination port and required packing with the enquiry, and the quotation will state minimum order, loading port and lead time rather than leaving them to be inferred from a generic figure.
Specification basis
Methyl chloride is a single substance, so one purity figure applies to it, and each lot is certified against our own specification. Purity, moisture, acidity, non-condensable gas and residue are reported per lot with the method behind each result, and no figure is carried over from an earlier lot: the certificate that matters is the one issued for the lot you receive. Where a buyer names a standard — a national grade, an industry grade, or the buyer’s own purchasing specification — the quotation is made against that document and the COA names it as the basis of analysis, so the results can be read against the specification your process is validated on.
Two facts travel with the goods rather than with this page: the product is a liquefied gas under pressure at ambient temperature, and it moves under UN 1063, class 2.1. Both are stated on the SDS and on the transport document, which is where a carrier, a forwarder or a customs broker needs to read them, and where a discrepancy between the certificate and the shipping paper would stop a consignment.
Documents per shipment
- Certificate of analysis, one per lot, naming the specification it is measured against
- Safety data sheet, current version for the grade supplied
- Transport document naming UN 1063 and class 2.1
- Packing list showing net weight per package
- Dangerous goods packaging certificate for the packaging used
