R134a Supply: Specification, Minimum Order, Packaging and Lead Time
· HARMONY TECHNOLOGY (ZHEJIANG) CO., LTD.
The shape of a R134a order: minimum 600 cylinders, one 20GP carries 1,150 cylinders unpalletised, loading at Ningbo or Qingdao (Shanghai as a last option), 35 days typical lead time, and a certificate of analysis issued per lot against our own specification.
This page is the commercial side of R134a — quantity, packing, port, timing and paperwork. The technical side (system compatibility, lubricant interaction, sealing materials) is on a separate page linked below.
1. Specification and the basis it is quoted against
| Item | What we state | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Purity | As stated on the lot COA | Our own specification, not a restated third-party limit |
| Water | As stated on the lot COA | Karl Fischer |
| Acidity (as HCl) | As stated on the lot COA | Titration |
| Residue on evaporation | As stated on the lot COA | Gravimetric |
| Non-condensable gases | As stated on the lot COA | Gas phase analysis |
| Appearance | Clear, colourless, no foreign odour | Visual |
Why the table does not carry fixed numbers: the figures are issued per lot on the COA, and the specification they are read against is ours. A buyer who needs a named standard applied states that standard in the purchase specification; the COA then names it as the basis, and we do not present someone else’s limits as our own.
2. Quantity: what a container actually carries
| Item | Figure | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum order | 600 cylinders | A part container, consolidated with other grades if needed |
| One 20GP | 1,150 cylinders | Unpalletised, on the cylinder format quoted for the order; small cans and the larger cylinders load differently |
| Palletised loading | Fewer per container | Pallet height and weight limits reduce the count; state it on the order if pallets are required |
The 1,150 figure is the unpalletised case for the cylinder formats below. Buyers who need pallets for their own warehouse handling should say so at enquiry stage: it changes the count per container, and therefore the freight per cylinder.
2.1 Packaging formats
| Format | Content / capacity | Type | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small can | 250 g / 300 g / 350 g / 800 g per can | two-piece or three-piece can | Can construction is stated on the order; the two types are not interchangeable in filling lines |
| Disposable cylinder | 13.6 kg (30 lb) | Single-use, non-refillable | The format the 20GP count above is normally quoted on |
| Refillable cylinder | 12 kg / 12 L | CE-marked, refillable | For the European market; the CE mark is on the cylinder, and the test certificate states the edition |
| Large cylinder | 800 L water capacity | Refillable, pressure-rated | Net fill follows the filling ratio for the grade, not the water capacity |
| Large cylinder | 926 L water capacity | Refillable, pressure-rated | The standard export format for larger orders |
| ISO tank | Quoted per shipment | Tank container | Different unit, different documents — quoted separately |
Two points that decide the order rather than the price:
- Water capacity is not net weight. For the 800 L and 926 L cylinders the figure is water capacity; the net charge follows the filling ratio applied to the grade, and it is stated on the fill record.
- Two-piece and three-piece cans are not a cosmetic choice: the filling line, the valve and the shelf-life differ, so the construction has to be fixed before the can order is placed.
3. Port and timing
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Port of loading | Ningbo, Qingdao; Shanghai as last option |
| Typical lead time | 35 days |
| Clock starts | When the order and the specification are confirmed |
| What can extend it | A buyer specification that has to be checked against the lot; palletisation; consolidation with other grades |
Shanghai is listed last deliberately: it is available, but it is not the port we plan a shipment around.
4. Documents that travel with the load
| Document | Carries |
|---|---|
| Certificate of analysis | Per lot; the figures and the specification basis they are read against |
| Safety data sheet | UN 3159, class 2.2, the grade |
| Transport document | UN 3159, class 2.2, cylinder count, net weight per line |
| Packing list | Cylinder count per line; palletised or unpalletised stated |
| Dangerous goods packaging certificate | For the cylinders used in the shipment |
| Fill record | The fill basis and the date, for cylinders filled at the group’s filling site |
5. FAQ
What is the minimum order quantity? 600 cylinders; a 20GP carries 1,150 unpalletised.
Which port? Ningbo or Qingdao; Shanghai as a last option.
Lead time? 35 days typical from order and specification confirmation.
What specification does it meet? Our own specification, stated on the lot COA; a buyer’s named standard is applied only when the buyer’s specification calls for it, and the COA then names that basis.
What documents come with it? COA per lot, SDS, transport document with UN 3159 and class 2.2, packing list, dangerous goods packaging certificate, fill record.
6. Who supplies this
Who supplies this: HARMONY TECHNOLOGY (ZHEJIANG) CO., LTD. is the group’s trading company for this product line — it contracts, invoices and ships the R134a, and it is a trader, not a manufacturer. Cylinder filling is carried out by QUZHOU HUAFU NEW REFRIGERATION MATERIAL CO., LTD., the group company that holds the storage and filling permits, and the fill record travels with the load.
To quote, state: the quantity in cylinders, the destination port, whether pallets are required, and the specification basis you need on the COA.
